Give depth a purpose
Use an interactive product, spatial interface or cinematic story when it helps people understand what you offer.
VTECH combines real-time 3D controls with carefully planned content and media. The experience should still provide a clear route to the next action.
Design the sequence
Plan the anchors first: what should someone understand in each scene? Define the boundaries, transitions and resting states around that story.
Readable copy and useful controls belong in the interface, not permanently baked into a background film.
Make the response clear
A control should have a generous target, immediate feedback and a predictable outcome. Touch, mouse and keyboard need deliberate behaviour.
Motion can show depth and state changes while preserving legibility. Essential actions must remain available when reduced motion is requested.
Separate the layers
Background media supplies the environment. Live geometry supplies depth and interaction. Semantic content supplies readable, navigable information.
Agree asset ownership, licensing and replacement paths before production so content and interfaces can evolve without redoing every film.
Budget the experience
Keep renderer, decoder and asset ownership explicit. Prepare the next useful asset rather than starting every scene at once.
Assess real devices and browsers. A successful build is only one gate; visual continuity, responsiveness and resource use need separate checks.
